Owatonna Business Women Monthly Meeting: Business & Networking Meeting

  • Tuesday, April 21, 2020
  • 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
  • WebEx

Since we don’t have a program this month, we’ll spend the first part of our meeting with a fun networking game and introductions. You’ll see there’s an opportunity to share during the introduction time. Don’t feel obligated to share, but we want to make sure we’re checking in and supporting each other. You never know – another OBW member may be or have the resource or connection you need! Because we’ll be voting this month, please connect to the WebEx meeting using video if possible. That will allow us to use the polling feature in WebEx to provide a more orderly voting process and tabulate votes easier. If you can’t connect using the video option and need to call in, we will have a different voting option available to you. Please join us either way! If you do not receive the WebEx link, please contact us at obwprogramming@gmail.com.

PROGRAM WILL BE RESCHEDULED.

Cyber Security Protection for Individuals and Businesses, Gail Ingledew with Profinium Inc.

You have enough things to worry about as you build your business. Don’t let security breaches be one of them.

Gail Ingledew is the Vice President of Operations and Information Security Officer at Profinium Inc. In Gail’s work she consults with businesses as they are setting up payment systems for their business. In this work, she started to notice a trend that can be very detrimental to businesses. During startup businesses are working to set up websites, sales processes, operating processes, etc. However, what was not being addressed was a setup for security precautions to protect against hackers.

During Gail’s time with us she will be sharing tips for protecting your identity and business. Additionally, she will be sharing with us a story about a business in Mankato that had to start from scratch after hackers infiltrated their system. This business now has a mission of sharing their experience to help others learn how to prevent their businesses from going through the same thing.
